There are few things more magical than your wedding day. It’s well worth mentioning, though, that an awful lot of careful thought goes into creating that magic! If you’re in the midst of wedding planning, you’ll know just how many decisions the average bride-to-be needs to make during the lead up to the big day.
The last thing we want to do is throw more big decisions in your path! And we promise not to mention chair covers, fonts, drinks menus or seating plans… but we would like to invite you to sit back and think about jewellery.
The jewellery you choose to wear on your big day will go a long way towards setting the tone of your look. Whether you’re aiming for a bridal look that’s classically sleek, glamorously vintage or all-out princessy; your jewellery will help you hit the mark.
About to start the search for the perfect baubles? Here are a few things you might want to keep in mind.

Try it on with your dress

You might find what seems like the perfect piece of jewellery… only to find that it’s the wrong shape for the neckline of your dress. Wedding gowns are often made of very delicate material so it’s also important to ensure that your chosen necklace or bracelet isn’t likely to pull or snag.

Consider whether you want to wear it again

Opinions differ on this one, but some brides choose wedding day jewellery with the idea that they’ll be able to wear it again for special occasions. If this is the case, you may want to choose something that suits your lifestyle and normal jewellery preferences as well as your wedding dress.

Keep space for your something borrowed

Don’t forget your something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue! Many brides choose to borrow a sentimental piece of jewellery from a family member to complete their bridal look. You may want to keep this in mind when choosing jewellery and ensure that your new pieces will sit beautifully with the something special you plan to borrow.
