The most wonderful thing about jewellery is the very many ways it can be worn. The same piece can look totally different from person to person… or even outfit to outfit!

If you’re the type of person who likes to turn heads, we bet you wear yours to make a statement Happily, there are so many ways you can do this, and it’s much easier than you might think.

We’ve shared six ideas below; why not mix and match to create a look that’s totally you?

One: Go big or go home

When you set out to make a statement, often bigger is better! The brighter, bolder and chunkier the piece you go for, the more likely it is to make a memorable impact. Choose large collar necklaces, super-wide bangles and delightfully over-the-top earrings.

Two: Make the rest of your outfit a blank canvas

One of the best ways to ensure your jewellery stands out is to make it the star of your outfit. This style works wonderfully with sparkly precious gems. Choose a stand out necklace or pair of earrings, then wear with a neutral outfit.

Three: Choose clashing colours

Of course, you could go in completely the opposite direction! Turn heads as soon as you step into the room by choosing jewellery that clashes with each other and whatever else you’re wearing. Warning: this is not a look for the faint hearted! For best results, wear with lashings of confidence.

Four: Wear killer earrings with an up do

If you have lovely long locks, experiment with sweeping them back and up and letting your earrings do the talking. This style also works brilliantly for those with shorter hairstyles: choose a pair that are longer than your hair for great effect.

Five: Layer multiple pieces

If you love jewellery… why stop at just wearing one or two pieces? Layering is really hot right now, and it works fantastically with necklaces, bracelets and rings. Take a look at our tips for getting it right here
